Mission Statement

At John Jay School for Law, we foster an inclusive, collaborative, and culturally responsive community that is equitable and nurturing. Through our rigorous academic programs, we inspire students to pursue knowledge passionately, think critically and analytically, and cultivate strong leadership skills for the twenty-first century.
Students will graduate from John Jay School for Law with an understanding of the legal principles that shape their world; they will refine their problem-solving process and emerge as exceptional individuals, poised for elite college experiences, distinguished careers and global citizens of the highest caliber.
John Jay School for Law will develop scholars who are committed to academic excellence through strong literacy skills, equity and justice through daily data- driven informed rigorous instruction that promotes mastery across all subject areas with real world applications which is characterized by lessons that support autonomous learning, collaboration and critical consciousness.
Students at John Jay School for Law will develop and utilize healthy self-management and relationship skills that cultivate and prioritize empathy, respect, personal accountability, and healthy relationships
